Theft of $2,178 in Valuables Reported from Lower Mac Home

Items were taken over three-day period, police say.

A Lower Macungie Township couple on Dec. 10 reported items valued at $2,178 missing from a home, according to police.

The items were taken between 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9 a.m. Dec. 10, according to . The residents were not identified, but the home is in the 1200 block of Eagle Street.

Missing items include a Dell laptop computer, a pair of diamond hoop earrings, a Citizen's silver band watch and a moissanite ring, police said.  The incident is classified theft by unlawful taking or disposition.

Charged: Two 17-year-old unidentified girls; Nov. 20 at Store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd.; both accused of removing merchandise valued at $154.06, police said.

Hit-and-run accident: Reported Dec. 4 by Joel Andre Wolensky at 6549 Hunt Drive; victim's vehicle struck by unidentified driver who left the scene, police said; no loss given.

Theft, fraud and forgery: Reported Dec. 1 by Paul Kurlec at 1470 Mashie Drive; victim's credit card used to purchase merchandise without permission, police said; no value given.

Criminal mischief: Reported Dec. 6 by a 74-year-old woman in the 2200 block of Four Seasons Boulevard; wires cut to outdoor Christmas lights, police said; $30 value.

Charged: Virgen Maria Mendez Tubens, 33, of Allentown; Dec. 5 at 1091 Mill Creek Road, with retail theft; placed unpaid-for items in her purse, police said; no value given.

Criminal mischief: Reported Nov. 14 at 5695 N. Walnut St. by Melissa Sue Kleckner; driver's side vehicle window struck, cracking same, police said; no value given.

Access device fraud: Reported Dec. 7 by a 27-year-old Bethlehem woman; victim's credit card information used to purchase a television at Wal-Mart, 1091 Mill Creek Road; three televisions also purchased on three separate occasions using the same credit card information, police said; victims described as being two men ages 20 to 30s and a woman in her early 20s.
