One interesting note is that the Friends for the Protection of Lower Macungie Township plan to present the commissioners with more petitions signed by residents and others who oppose farmland development in general, and specifically the Jaindl plan to put up warehouses, strip malls and high-density housing on more than 600 acres in the township's southwest sector.
