Lower Mac Document Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event

The Document Shredding Event is free and is open to Lower Macungie residents only.  Residents can watch as their papers are shredded on-site in a commercial-size portable shredding unit. Staples, rubber bands, folders, paper clips, etc. do not need to be removed prior to shredding. Educational material on protecting yourself from identity theft will be provided by event co-sponsor Wells Fargo Bank.

The Electronics Recycling Event is open to everyone regardless of residency.  Bring your unwanted electronic equipment, as well as used batteries and fluorescent bulbs, for recycling.  This event will keep the hazardous wastes contained in this equipment out of Pennsylvania’s landfills.  Fees apply to certain items for the recycling cost of hazardous materials.  A certificate of destruction is available for computer hard drives for an additional fee.  Please visit the web link for further details.  The Electronics Recycling Event is sponsored by the Township, The Lower Macungie Environmental Advisory Council, and Advanced Green Solutions.
