Jaindl's Spring Creek Project Approved

A large tract of Lower Macungie farmland will be developed into housing, warehouses and distribution centers.

David Jaindl's controversial plan to develop about 600 acres of farmland in the western part of Lower Macungie Township was approved by township commissioners on Thursday night.

The project will include up to 400 homes along with warehouses, distribution centers and office space, according to the Morning Call.

Sixty-two acres of land will become a township park north of Alburtis, according to a WFMZ report.

Residents opposed zoning changes that Jaindl negotiated for the land but a legal fight ended with a Lehigh County judge ruling in favor of township officials and Jaindl.
