John Yurasits Runs for a Seat on the Lower Macungie BOC

Primary election to be held May 21

Democrat John A. Yurasits, 37, has announced his intentions to run for a seat on the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners.

For the three open seats there are now six candidates.

Yurasits is the sole Democrat.

Yurasits  is joined by incumbents Ryan Conrad, Ron Eichenberg and Roger Reis, and by Ron Beitler and Brian Higgins.

Yurasits is a special investigator for insurance (general liability, workers compensation and automotive) for the Fort Washington, NJ, office of Global Options. He is also business manager for Local 12 UGSOA (United Government Security Officers of America), a collective bargaining unit from Pottstown.

He is also a fire fighter with the Brandywine Station of the Lower Macungie Fire Department.

Yurasits holds a degree in human resources management from Lehigh Carbon Community College and is pursuing a degree in labor relations from the Pennsylvania State University.
