Lower Mac Commissioners Honor Staffer for 40 Years of Service

Lower Mac's Residential Plumbing Inspector/Sewer Enforcement Officer celebrated his birthday and his Lower Macungie Township employment anniversary earlier this month.

September 3, 2013 was a pretty special day for Guy Bieber.

Bieber turned 63 years old on that day and it also marked his 40th anniversary as a Lower Macungie Township employee.

Last Thursday, Bieber, who serves as Lower Mac's Residential Plumbing Inspector/Sewer Enforcement Officer, was recognized at the Board of Commissioners meeting for his four decades of service.

During the meeting Bieber was presented with a special plaque by BOC President Ron Eichenberg on behalf the board.

Bieber then made a presentation to the board on a the amended Act 537 Sewage Plan for the township. According to a guest blogger's post on www.ronbeitler.com, that plan includes requirements for mandatory pumping of the septic tanks and calls for the expansion of the township’s public sewer area to include the proposed Jaindl development project on Spring Creek Road.
