Now Hiring: Macungie Borough Council

The process to fill the open seat on Macungie Borough Council is under way.

Steps are already being taken to fill the open seat on Macungie Borough Council created by the resignation of Linn Walker, according to Macungie Borough Manager Chris Boehm. In fact, she says, the borough only has 30 days in which to replace Walker.

Letters of interest for the open council seat are being accepted in Macungie Borough Hall until Sept 12, Boehm explains. Council will conduct interviews at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 prior to the council meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

To be eligible for Walker’s seat, the candidate must be a resident of Macungie Borough for at least one year.
