Twp. Lowers Speed Limit on Mill Creek Road
Drivers will soon see a lower speed limit on curvy Mill Creek Road in Lower Macungie.

Township commissioners on Thursday lowered the speed limit on the extremely winding portion of Mill Creek Road between Spring Creek Road and Sauerkraut Lane.
Commissioners voted unanimously to lower the speed limit to 25 mph from its current 35 mph.

Months ago residents of that stretch of Mill Creek Road petitioned the commissioners with their concerns. Some said dangerous conditions were created when drivers tried to navigate the road's curves at high speeds. Some said they were even afraid to try to collect their mail from roadside mailboxes.
