Lehigh Valley's Child ID Program - Helping to Recover Missing or Abducted Children

We were recently asked to help spread the word about the Child ID Program that helps to recover missing or abducted children - and we're more than happy to.

The child identification program addresses the startling fact that over 1,000,000 children are reported missing in the US each year. While most are found, many are not, and the abduction of children is both under-reported and rapidly increasing in our country.

The Lehigh Valley Community Resource Center and its affiliates offer the only regional wide Child ID program that provides parents and guardians the means to quickly get vital information to emergency responders. The system uses advanced digital technology to capture and store high definition forensic quality fingerprints, photos and physical descriptions of children and youth in the region.

It includes all ten fingerprints electronically scanned and saved in the universal pdf format, the child's physical description, a video recording, a voice print and a photograph of the child. And all information provided is compatible with the Pennsylvania Amber Alert System.

You can join the Lehigh Valley Community Resource Center's Save the Children Project by hosting a Child ID event at your place of business. Sponsorship of the event includes:

  • A 4 hour event at your place of business
  • Seven step marketing plan
  • Professionally designed promotional pieces
  • Promotion of event via LVCRC website, social media, and local media outlets

As of August 1, 2013, CP4Kids will make the Child ID events available, with NO Sponsorship Fee, to any qualified nonprofit agency or community group in the region.

The Child ID program is made available through Community Partners for Kids - An Online Resource Center for Families with Children in Pennsylvania. The website contains a comprehensive network of resources for your family, especially your children, providing direct access and detailed information in areas of arts & culture, education, family services, health & safety, special needs, and sports & recreation.

Since 2001, the Lehigh Valley Community Resource Center has been focused on identifying educational and developmental opportunities for children and youth in northeastern Pennsylvania. The creation of this new and exciting website, CommunityPartners4Kids.org, is an extension of that mission and is committed to connecting kids to these educational and developmental opportunities as well as to their communities. Community Partners 4 Kids will also feature hundreds of local businesses who are committed to supporting this initiative and show it with their support of Community Partners 4 Kids.

Please help us help CP4Kids spread the word about the Child ID program that provides parents and guardians the means to quickly get vital information to emergency responders.
