For the record. Engineers including LMT's (Mr. Erdman is a very good one and we're lucky to have someone with his credentials and experience on staff) are dealing with the hands they are dealt. In the case of this development... making the best of decisions our elected BOC made. In this case, engineering the best solutions for a project that will add 4000 peak hour trips. This is just a funny little clip showing what it's like for a layman to talk to a standards driven engineer.

This is why in the case of the Jaindl Development, I refuse to use the word 'improvement', as engineers do so often when talking about major construction that is a result of this one single subdivision. If you attended the 5/3 meeting you heard 100 times.. "We're going to improve this, improve that". At Mr. Jaindl's meeting with concerned citizens his engineer in fact summed my thoughts up perfectly. When discussing flooding issues on Rt. 100 near Wlazeleks Auction house a resident asked, 'will this fix our problems?' Mr. Pidcock replied 'no', but it will improve the problem. It's all about managing a bad situation created by our BOC, not planning to avoid the situation. You don't solve the problems created by 4000 peak hour trips. Our leadership just hopes to 'manage' them.
