Smart Growth Webinar 'Curbside Chat' Tonight at Macungie Institute

Friends for Protection of Lower Macungie Township a community smart growth advocacy group will be kicking off our series of Smart Growth lectures and presentations on June 20th.

Friends for Protection of Lower Macungie Township a community smart growth advocacy group will be kicking off our series of Smart Growth lectures and presentations on Wednesday June 20th.

The first program is entitled 'Curbside Chat' with Strongtowns.org’s, Chuck Marohn. The Curbside Chat is a presentation, followed by a community-specific discussion, about the financial health of our places.

  • Why are our towns short of resources despite decades of robust growth?
  • Why do we struggle to maintain our basic infrastructure? (Definitely a concern here in PA!)
  • Strategies local gov't can implement to change course, including ending the 'pay as you go' approach.

According to the presentation: The answers lie in the way we have developed;  and the financial productivity of our places. This stunning presentation is a game-changer for communities looking to grow more resilient and obtain true prosperity during changing times.
