East Penn Approves 3 Hires, 6 Retirements/Resignations

East Penn School Board approves several resignations, appointments and status changes.

The East Penn School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night. There were six retirement/resignations:

  • Ellen Held, special education teacher at Lower Macungie Middle School, effective June 12.
  • Mena Venesky, elementary guidance counselor, effective June 12.
  • Tracy Antonioli, English teacher at Eyer Middle School, effective June 12.
  • Payal Bhowmick, English teacher at Lower Macungie Middle School, effective June 12.
  • Nicole Polanski, instructional assistant at Shoemaker Elementary School, effective April 8.
  • Joseph Schmoyer, custodian, second shift, at Emmaus High School, effective May 7.

There were three appointments:

  • Wendy Frisch, instructional assistant at Eyer Middle School, 29 hours/week at $13.38/hour.
  • Ellen Lynn, staff assistant at Wescosville Elementary School, 12.5 hours/week at $13.38/hour.
  • Melissa Stewart, instructional assistant at Shoemaker Elementary School, 29 hours/week at $13.38/hour.
