Coming to Facebook: The East Penn School District

East Penn schools want to have a greater web presence this year.

When he was serving as school superintendent in Brick, NJ, Thomas Seidenberger wrote a blog.

He wants to do the same thing for the East Penn School District, part of an effort this year to improve the district's web presence that will hopefully also include an updated web site and an East Penn Facebook page.

"It's a chance for more two-way communications," with students, parents and district staff, Seidenberger said at Monday night's board meeting.

And a blog—which would deal with curriculum and finance— would "try to give some board members some cheat sheets" on how to talk about issues out in public, Seidenberg said.
