East Penn Schools to Dismiss Early Thursday

Approaching winter weather causes East Penn School District to call for an early dismissal on Jan. 2, 2014.

East Penn School District is currently notifying parents and caregivers of plans for an early dismissal on Thursday afternoon in anticipation of a snowstorm moving into the area.

Emmaus High School, along with Eyer and Lower Macungie middle schools, will dismiss at 1 p.m., according to a recorded telephone message from the superintendent's office.

All elementary schools in the district will let out at 2 p.m. Thursday. There will be afternoon kindergarten. 

All afternoon and evening activities have been cancelled.

Several other days are available. Jan 20 and Feb 17 and Mar 7 are also possibilities. You can't get back those days once they have passed. They should really consider Jan 20 first.
