East Penn's New Superintendent: Which Qualities Are Most Important?

East Penn Superintendent of Schools Thomas L. Seidenberger announced his plans to retire in September and the board is asking for input from East Penn constituents as it begins the superintendent search process.

As the East Penn Board of School Directors prepares to begin its search for a replacement for Superintendent of Schools Thomas L. Seidenberger in earnest, the board is seeking the input of East Penn constituents via an anonymous survey.

Parents, students, teachers, residents and taxpayers of the school district are being asked to help shape the search process by completing the survey online or in hard copy, according to the district web site.

Only one online survey submission will be allowed per household.

Those preferring to fill out a hard copy survey can get a copy through the district office at 800 Pine Street. Hardcopy surveys should be returned to Board Secretary Cecelia Birdsell, 800 Pine St., Emmaus, PA, 18049.

All surveys must be returned or submitted by 5 p.m., on Dec. 19.

Seidenberger announced his plans to retire in September, although he has not yet set a specific retirement date.
