Eyer Middle School Principal To Retire

The East Penn School Board accepts his resignation—effective June 29—with regret.

Among the five resignations accepted and approved by the East Penn Board of School Directors on Monday was Eyer Middle School principal, David Silfies, and he will be missed.

Director Alan Earnshaw's children attended Eyer during Silfies' tenure, and it was a very good experience, he said.

"He created a real sense of family, and I thank him for that. I'm tempted to vote 'no' on this. We'll miss him greatly.  I wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement," Earnshaw said.
