Hornets Succumb to Blue Eagles for D-XI 4A Baseball Crown
Nazareth defeated Emmaus in the District XI Class 4A championship game Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park.
Led by the overpowering performance of pitcher Karl Keglovits, the Blue Eagles defeated the Emmaus Green Hornets 4-0Â to win the District XIÂ Class 4A baseball championship Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park.
While Keglovits kept the bats of the Emmaus players silent, Logan Mondschein, the Hornet's starting pitcher, struggled early. The Blue Eagles capitalized and brought two players across home plate in the first inning.
Dave Pisauro, the Hornet's relief pitcher, gave up two more Blue Eagle runs in the second inning.

Pisauro was able to keep Nazareth players from reaching home plate the rest of the game, but it was Keglovits who kept the Emmaus hitters guessing throughout the night, allowing only four hits and no runs.
Nazareth's season will continue next week as they head to the PIAA tournament, which begins Monday.
