Lower Mac Socceroos Win Big in Memorial Day Tournament

The Lower Macungie Youth Association Socceroos were undefeated in a three-game tournament over Memorial Day weekend.

The Socceroos, Lower Macungie Youth Associations’s U-14 girls travel soccer team, won all three of their games at the Memorial Day Whitewater Cup in Forty Fort, beating teams from New York and Connecticut by a combined 17-0 score. In what were likely their last games together as a team, the girls played exceptionally well. In fact, two of the wins came without their head coach, Billy Dunn, who had obligations back in the Lehigh Valley. The Roos were ably led in those two games by Assistant Coach Kurt Koehler.

The LMYA Socceroos have played together for the last six years, but head off to high school next year.
