Das Awkscht Fescht Opens Friday in Macungie

The three-day Das Awkscht Fescht celebrates 50 years this summer.

The 50th annual Das Awkscht Fescht—one of the largest classic and antique car shows in the country—opens Friday at Macungie Memorial Park and runs through Sunday.

This year's featured car is the Buick, as the three-day festival pays homage to the cars of yesteryear. More than 1,200 classic, antique and sports cars are registered for Saturday, according to the show's webpage. And 34 car clubs will showcase more than 1,000 vintage cars on Sunday.
