Register Now: Alburtis 5K Run/Walk

Race day isn’t until Sat., Aug. 10, but now’s the time to throw your sneakers onto the track for the Alburtis 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Alburtis Area Community Center.

The cost to register for the race, which goes through Lockridge Park and the Borough of Alburtis is $20 before July 1. It bumps up to $25 between July 1 and Aug. 9. On race day, the cost to register is $30.

Some race highlights include free post-race massages and chiropractic adjustments. The Alburtis Pool will be open and there will be music and food after the race.

Paws in the Park takes place along with the 5K. Rules say only one dog per human and that all canines must remain on a leash. Water stations will be available and owners must curb their pets.

The Kids Fun Run for kids ages 12 and under is free. There will be a special race T-shirt designed by Seven Generations Charter School in Emmaus. All racers will receive a medal and the top three boy and girl racers will get a medal.
