Pirates Say 'Arg,' Eat Artichokes This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in Lower Macungie Township and Macungie Borough.

The Lower Macungie Township Library is ready to help you kick off the week with some family fun with the next installment of its iDig Family Fun Night, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the library. Advanced registration is required, as it is with all iDig sessions, and this week’s theme is “Arg! We Be Pirates,” deemed suitable for ages 3 and up.

The Lower Macungie Township Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and there is a placeholder meeting for the Planning & Zoning Committee on the calendar for 4 p.m. Thursday, if needed, according to the Lower Mac township website.

It’s likely too late to join in on the fun, but Junior Art Camp, for kids in grades 3 through 8, runs from 1 to 3 p.m. this week the township website says. Might be a good time to head over to the Lower Mac Community Center to pick up flyers for NEXT year’s camp offerings. Advance planning is key!
