'Pride and Prejudice,' Craft Fairs: Your Weekend

Free food for kids and free flu shots round out the happenings in the East Penn area this weekend.

There are tons of ways to keep busy in and around the Lehigh Valley this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday

- Emmaus High School stages it's fall production, "Pride and Prejudice" on Thursday, Nov. 7, Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Emmaus High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets: $10 adult, $8 students. For information call, 610-965-1650 

Friday

- Starters Pub Family Night (kids 12 and under eat free), 5 to 11 p.m., Starters Pub, 731 Rt. 378, Bethlehem

- Rep. Ryan Mackenzie will talk about efforts to reduce violence in schools at PRO Martial Arts Trexlertown at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. 

Saturday

- Lehigh County Community College is hosting its second annual Fall Holiday Festival, with arts and crafts, face painting, horse-drawn carriage rides, music, fun foods, finger printing by the South Whitehall police department, scholastic story time with Clifford the Big Red Dog and a basket raffle. The festival is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the college, 4525 Education Park Drive, Schnecksville. 

- Ladies' Auxiliary of the Trexlertown Fire Company, is hosting a holiday fair at the social quarters, 7723 Hamilton Boulevard on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be more than 60 tables with arts and crafts, baked goods, homemade soups and a basket drawing. Admission is free. For more information call 610-965-8184.

Saturday and Sunday

- Lehigh Valley Health Network will again this year give out free flu vaccinations at two community drive-through sessions:
  • At Dorney Park in South Whitehall, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9.
  • At Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10.
