A Bit of Williamsburg In Macungie

A beautiful Williamsburg Wreath now decorates our home signaling to all that the holiday season is upon us and you're welcome at our home.

provides a variety of programs, workshops and events throughout the year geared to all ages and interests of the Macungie community.

Through the combined efforts of the park managers, Laura & Michael McCready, local residents are invited to enjoy many various instructional courses relative to the season of the year.

One such event occured on Dec 13 when Edyie Oswald, a designer extraordinaire, stopped by to instruct participants on how to make a beautiful wreath for the holidays. Not just any wreath, but a Williamsburg Wreath....much like the ones shown during the holidays down in Colonial Williamsburg, VA....combining a mixture of fruits, nuts & natural greens. No twinkling lights on this wreath.

My wife Joy was fortunate to be one of the ladies chosen to construct such a wreath and her handiwork is on display both in the photos and on a table on our front porch. What a beautiful way to enjoy the season. Thanks to Edyie Oswald and Laura McCready our home is now fully decorated for the holidays. What a wonderful craft idea.
