Macungie Memorial Park

<p>Macungie Memorial Park has a play area for children including swings and a slide, but it also is a full-service park with a sizable municipal swimming pool as well as a baby pool as well as tennis courts, and baseball and softball fields. There is a place to barbacue and there are covered picnic tables. Benches are all around the park so visitors can sit back and enjoy the outdoors. However, the bandshell -- which has served the park since 1949 -- is probably the hightlight. A stone building also serves as a community center that meets recreational needs.</p> <p>In addition to active recreation, the park also plays hosts to many passive recreational events including numerous car shows -- highlighted by the annual Awkscht Fescht -- dog shows, the Lions Flea Market and the Farmer's Market.</p>
