Macungie Elementary School was the first school in the borough, and dates back to 1840 when the area was called…More Millerstown. The original school was located at 28 North Church Street. In 1942, it moved to the Main Street building that now houses the Macungie Institute. It has been in its current site for more than 20 years, and shares a campus with Shoemaker Elementary School and Eyer Middle School.
This elementary school can serve about 500 students in grades kindergarten-5 and offers such extracurricular activities as chorus, hand chimes, Tiger Trotters walking club and art club.
