Man reports vehicle is taken from in front of his Lower Macungie home, police say.
A man reported recently that his car was stolen from in front of his Lower Macungie Township home, police said. Michael Swan of 1091 Pine Grove Circle reported that the car was taken between 12:20 and 2 p.m. Aug. 8, according to state police at Fogelsville. The vehicle is a 2007 black Nissan Altima with a Pennsylvania registration of HRD-7681, police said. Police did not offer a value on the car, but the Kelly Blue Book value is approximately $10,500 for that vehicle in average condition. Police ask that anyone with information call them at 610-395-1438.

Break-ins continue in the Lower Macungie area, mostly involving cars with open door , as evidenced by the most recent incident reports released by state police at Fogelsville. Three Aster Road residents reported break-ins to their unlocked vehicles overnight June 8, police said. Melissa Marlene Silva of 1892 Aster Road and Michelle Reichard-Huff of 1868 Aster Road said personal information and a GPS were taken, worth a total of $110. A GPS and Canon Rebel digital camera were taken from the address of 1876 Aster Road. No value was given. For a change of pace, another thief decided to take the whole vehicle instead of settling for its contents.
