3 Teens Charged with Tossing Apples from Car

Juveniles will face disorderly conduct charges for apparent joyride in Lower Macungie Township, police say.

Three Macungie-area teens recently were charged by police for making applesauce. Of course, there is no such criminal charge, but that was the essence of their actions Nov. 9 as they tossed apples at objects from a moving motor vehicle in Lower Macungie Township, according to state police at Fogelsville. Officially, the charge was disorderly conduct, according to the report.  The three juveniles, ages 15-17, drove through the area of Tuscany Drive about 8 p.m., police said. They threw apples from the windows of the vehicle at unspecified objects. Police did not say whether anything was struck or how much damage was done. Charges are pending in district court before Magisterial District Judge Michael Faulkner of Upper Macungie Township.

Linn Walker Arraigned on Lewd Behavior, Disorderly Conduct Charges

Macungie Council Member Linn Walker is expected to plead guilty on Oct. 29.

Macungie Councilman Linn Walker was arraigned Tuesday in Lehigh County Court on charges of open lewdness, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. An arraignment is a formal reading of charges at which the defendant sometimes pleads guilty or not guilty. Walker, however, will do that on Oct. 29 when court documents say he is expected back in Lehigh County Court. Neighbors called police to the W. Chestnut Street neighborhood on Aug. 3 after he Walker was seen urinating on shrubs next to his home. The elected official who has been repeatedly asked to resign from council -- which he said he would do after he was arrested Aug. 3 -- remains firmly seated at every meeting and has told friends that other council members have told him not to …

This man has been charged with open lewdness, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. His behavior has been despicable and irreprehensible. He has demonstrated absolutely no redeeming values as he did not resign as promised. So he is a liar as well. This council group has been made into a laughing stock. Macungie Politics...it is time to remove them all and start anew with decent people. …   more ›

Three Charged in Lower Mac Egg-tossing Incidents

Eleven vehicles are hit within three blocks, police say.

It must have been great fun for a time. Lobbing eggs at vehicles only to have them splatter like bursting fireworks. In fact, it must have been so much fun, that throwing eggs at just one car wouldn't do. In all, yolk ran from 11 vehicles in the early hours of July 3 in the 2900 through 3200 blocks of  Sequoia Drive in Lower Macungie Township, according to state police at Fogelsville. But the fun stopped for three young men accused of throwing the eggs. Police have charged two underage boys and Braden Lawrence Rikli, 18, of Emmaus with disorderly conduct associated with tossed eggs. The incidents weren't much fun for the victims, either, although police reported that there was no permanent damage to any of the vehicles. The above arrest …

Bag of Feces Greets Another Lower Mac Resident

That and derogatory remark written on driveway lead to disorderly conduct complaint, police say.

They say what's old is new again, but -- in this case -- you're not likely to find much nostalgia. Two recent occurrences may not make for a trend, but an incident in Lower Macungie Township was the second in recent times involving feces being used as the weapon of choice. Harkening back a bit, the referenced old gag was to place feces in a bag, light the bag on fire and ring a doorbell. The startled owner, seeing the flame, would stomp on the bag and . . . well, you can figure out the rest if, in fact, you weren't already familiar with the gag. Skipping ahead, and regardless of the motivation, Susan Harvey of 1453 Walnut Lane reported June 28 to state police at Fogelsville that someone had put feces in a plastic bag in her mailbox. She …

Nah it sounds to me like too many people in lower macungie complain about dogs, and this is a payback. Would not surprise me, they complain about kids and kids being bused to the willow lane school, so a dog is the next defenseless thing to complain about.   more ›
