Winter Storm to Hit Macungie Friday
A winter storm could bring up to 16 inches of snow before it's over, says the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service says a winter storm will bring snow, sleet and rain to Macungie and Lower Mac Friday into early Saturday morning. The major impact will be in New England where a nor'easter-type storm could bring blizzard conditions and almost a foot of snow. The National Weather Service is predicting 6 to 16 inches of snow for this storm and WFMZ predicts 6 to 12 inches for the Lehigh Valley. Snow should develop Friday morning, then mix with or change to sleet and rain from southeast to northwest. Snow could be heavy at times later Friday afternoon and Friday night, the Weather Service says.
