100s of Open Houses in Lehigh Valley This Weekend

Realtors are holding Nationwide Open House this weekend and hundreds of homes will be open for tours in the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR) will participte in Nationwide Open House on Saturday and Sunday with hundreds of real estate open houses scheduled across the Valley. Visit LVAR's website and click on "Find a Home" or "Open Houses." You can search by county, school district or local area. LVAR CEO Ryan Conrad says affordablity of homes in the Lehigh Valley is high with most of the homes sold in March going for less than $150,000.

Home Sales, Prices Up in February in Lehigh Valley

The Lehigh Valley housing market continues to get stronger, according to the latest data from local realtors.

Lehigh Valley home sales and average sales price were up in February, according the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors. Data comparisons of February 2013 over last year at the same time indicate that closed sales were up 18.5 percent to 352, while inventory decreased 18.1 percent to 3,196 units and new listings decreased 11.3 percent to 838. The average sales price rose slightly at 1.4 percent to $168,288. Homes were on the market an average of 83 days, a decrease of 14.4 percent. LVAR research reports that absorption rates improved as the supply of inventory was down 29.5 percent to 6.2 months. Lehigh Valley Home Sales Up in November

November home sales in the Lehigh Valley were up 16 percent

November was another good month for real estate sales, according to the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors. Year-to-date sales are recorded at 5,312, up 15.1 percent over 2011 year-to-date sales of 4,614. LVAR’s research shows there are 6,024 pending sales year-to-date, which indicates transactions in process that have not yet closed. Lehigh Valley Home Sales Up 8 Percent in September

The Lehigh Valley real estate market continues to post strong gains this year

The Lehigh Valley continues to see a boost in the housing market with year-to-date sales of 4,329 up 17.3 percent over 2011 year-to-date sales of 3,690. Year-to-date pending sales, which indicate transactions in process that have not yet closed, reached 5,152, up 40.4 percent from last year at the same time when pending sales were 3,670, according to the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR). “Our data over the last 15 months shows that home sales and pending home sales have consistently increased over the same time the previous year,” says Ryan Conrad, CEO of LVAR. “The positive trend in the housing market is great news for our local economy. Smaller Inventory of Lehigh Valley Homes for Sale

Lehigh Valley real estate agents report declining inventory and pending home sales up 25 percent in a new quarterly report on local market trends.

The Lehigh Valley Association of REALTORS® (LVAR) has started issuing a quarterly report on local housing trends. The new report complements the monthly market updates from LVAR. The initial quarterly report shows: The housing affordability index is up 7.1 percent at 196. This index measures housing affordability for the region. An index of 120 means the median household income is 120 percent of what is necessary to qualify for the median-priced home under prevailing interest rates. A higher number means greater affordability. The data was compiled based on household income and interest rates from hsh.com and huduser.org.  The average number of days on the market until a home is sold has decreased 4.5 percent from second quarter last year…

Homes Sales and Prices Up in Lehigh Valley

Lehigh Valley real estate agents say housing market is seeing strong growth.

Local real estate agents say a strong and steady year of recovery in the Lehigh Valley housing market is under way. June 2012 home sales, pending home sales, average sales price and year-to-date sales increased over June 2011. Home sales and average sales price also increased over May 2012, according to the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors. “The past 12 months have consistently shown gains in both monthly and annual comparisons,” says Ryan Conrad, CEO of LVAR. “The strong and steady growth is an indicator that the Lehigh Valley housing market is on its way to recovery. Local Housing Market Continues to Improve

Lehigh Valley real estate officials say a housing market recovery is under way.

Lehigh Valley real estate sales improved in May, posting strong enough numbers to inspire a local industry leader to say "the housing market recovery is under way." The Lehigh Valley housing market is showing steady growth, according to the latest report from the valleywide Association of Realtors.
