A post on Lehigh Valley Craigslist seeks the owner of a male tabby cat: This boy has been hanging around my neighborhood near Macungie since the summer 2012. He is safe for now but would love to find his owners. Front declawed & neutered. Please reply to the post if you can help.

The "not knowing" what happened to the Cope family's cat is tearing at their hearts.
Christmas was somber for the Cope family from Village Walk Drive in Macungie. Cat owner Debra Cope has taped detailed flyers to area mailboxes: "Hi my name is Debra Cope and I live at 208 Village Walk Dr., Macungie. Our family is missing our cat named "Kitty." He stepped into our yard as well as our hearts on Thanksgiving Day 2007. Although he's still scared of people he doesn't know, we managed to socialize this little guy enough that he became comfortable living as part of our family. He came into our lives at a time our hearts were heavy with the loss of my father. He managed to always find ways to make us smile. A Macungie resident is caring for a stray cat and posted on Lehigh Valley Craigslist: "Very pretty female, calico cat found 11/6 afternoon. Must have been an indoor cat; friendly, well groomed. Beautiful green eyes. Misses her family, but is being kept warm, fed and safe in my house. Is she yours?"

Buddy is a a neutered male with declawed front paws. "He is the beloved pet of a 9-year-old little girl who misses him terribly," the family says in their post.

The green-eyed, pink-nosed sweetheart that had been appearing a Macungie neighborhoos last week has been reunited with its owner. "Turns out Baxter's owner is an older gentleman who also lives [here] -- just a few buildings away. "The man's son saw our posting on Craigslist and came and picked the cat up last night," said the woman who posted the notice," she said.
