An area man had an eventful trip recently when he traveled an Upper Milford Township road, police said. Eric Richard Tremmel, 20, of Emmaus, was driving east on St. Peter's Road at 3 p.m. Nov 23. He was passed by several motorcylists as he approached the traffic light at Chestnut Street, according to state police at Fogelsville. One of the motorcyclists next came back to Tremmel's vehicle and struck him in the face, according to police. There was no mention of whether Tremmel was injured. Police also did not say what action, if any, might have caused the altercation. However, police are investigating the incident as harassment.

A motorcyclist was moderately injured recently when a pickup truck drove into him while the biker was stopped at a Lower Macungie Township intersection, police said. Patrick B. Moore, 72, of Emmaus, fell to the ground about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 6 after his Harley-Davidson FLHT Classic was struck from behind, according to state police at Fogelsville. He was taken to an area hospital by Macungie Ambulance Corps with unspecified injuries. Both vehicles were traveling on Lower Macungie Road and attempting to turn right onto Cedar Crest Boulevard. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 truck, driven by Michael J. Ring, 62, of Allentown, was unable to stop in time and struck Moore's motorcycle, police said. Both vehicles came to rest in the right turn lane. …
