East Penn School Board approves several resignations, appointments and status changes.
The East Penn School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night. There were two retirements: Superintendent Thomas Seidenberger said he would miss Seip, who "embraced change" and was excellent throughout the phys ed, drivers ed and swimming programs with which he was associated. There were three resignations: There were two appointments: Seidenberger also said he would miss Stabinger, who played an outstanding part in developing Moodle and Google docs programs and also played a part in designing the district's website.

The East Penn School Board accepts his resignation—effective June 29—with regret.
Among the five resignations accepted and approved by the East Penn Board of School Directors on Monday was Eyer Middle School principal, David Silfies, and he will be missed. Director Alan Earnshaw's children attended Eyer during Silfies' tenure, and it was a very good experience, he said. "He created a real sense of family, and I thank him for that. I'm tempted to vote 'no' on this. We'll miss him greatly. I wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement," Earnshaw said. The East Penn School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night.There were two resignations: There was one appointment: Tricia Gutman, Interim Principal, Jefferson Elementary School There were two instructional assistant appointments: The following change was approved to the Food Services Department: Lori Krasnansky, Part-time Food Service Assistant at Shoemaker School, at a rate of $13.61 per hour/2 hours per day Also, Kim Moyer was reassigned to Lower Macungie Middle School as a full-time food service assistant at 5.5 hours per day and a part-time assistant at one hour per day. Lisa Donmoyer, staff assistant at Wescosville School, was approved for an increase to 16 hours per week.

The East Penn School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night. There were three resignations: -- Sandra Frederick, administrative assistant at Willow Lane Elementary, effective July 1. -- Jennifer Scott, instructional assistant at Emmaus High School, effective Jan. 29 -- Dawn Kohler, staff assistant at Wescosville Elementary, effective Feb. 12. Mr. Seip was my gym teacher waaaay back when I was in second grade at Lincoln, all the way up through classes at Emmaus. And I have seen him often in the community since I graduated in '02.
