The tools were removed from security packaging and shoplifted from the Lower Macungie store, troopers report.
When it comes to getting power tools at a bargain price, some enterprising shopper knew the drill. In fact, they knew two drills. That's what they made off with recently from Sears Hardware in Lower Macungie Township: two DeWalt power drills, according to state police at Fogelsville. And the special low, low price? Free. Police said it was discovered at 9:32 a.m. Jan. 22 that two drills were removed during a retail theft from their security packaging and stolen from the store at 7150 Hamilton Blvd. No value was given for the two drills. Anyone who might have seen someone removing these items is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
