Don't Let Bogus Letter Scare You

Don't be fooled into thinking you have to act on the letter you may get from American Water Resources. You don't.

If you live in the borough of Macungie, and if you receive a letter from a company called American Water Resources, ignore it. The letter may be reminding you about what you "should" be doing to maintain the lines or pipes that bring water into your home, says Macungie Borough Manager Chris Boehm. Any kind of directive like that would come from the borough and would be on borough letterhead, she said. Boehm said at Monday's council meeting that she has had conversations with representatives of American Water Resources and has asked them not to send the letters.
