Man Terrorizes, Assaults Woman in Lower Mac, Police Say

He wrapped both hands around her neck leaving bruises, told her he would kill her and broke through a locked bathroom door to further assault her, troopers report.

A Macungie man recently choked a woman in a Lower Macungie Township home, threatened to kill her and broke open a locked door, striking her in the head with it, according to police. Paul Stephen Voros, 29, was charged with making terroristic threats at 11:13 p.m. Saturday following the violent incident in the home in the 1800 block of Aster Road in the Ancient Oaks development, State Police at Fogelsville said. A verbal argument escalated into Voros striking the woman with a cell phone charger, police said. Voros next choked her with both hands, leaving bruises around her neck, police said. He told her he would kill her, police said. The woman got away and locked herself in a bathroom, police said. However, Voros broke open the door, …

Taser Used on Man Who Attacked Officer, Police Say

Man was talking incoherently and would not leave Macungie apartment, a borough officer reports.

A Macungie police officer used a Taser® recently to subdue a man who was speaking incoherently before turning on him, according to a department release. Police said that the man, Michael J. Mason, 35, no permanent address, was not injured in the altercation. But they did say the incident started when they were called to 10 W. Main St., Apt. 5 for a report of a disturbance. Once there, they found the apartment's lessee -- unnamed by police -- who said that Mason was speaking incoherently and refused to leave. When police confronted Mason, he attacked the officer, police said. The unnamed officer used the Taser to subdue Mason and arrest him, police said. Man Shoved 5-year-old into Wall, Police Say

Access device fraud: Reported by Dorothy Gorman Dwyer of 5745 Springhaven Lane; someone attempted to use her credit card to make an online purchase Dec. 27 or 28, police said; amount not given. Charged: An unnamed 26-year-old man with simple assault; shoved a 5-year-old girl into a wall between Dec. 27 and 30 causing minor injury at 6897 Hunt Drive, police said; the incident remains under investigation. Wescosville Man is Victim of Smash-and-Drive Incident, Police Say

He called state police after being 'rammed' on Route 22; Easton driver is charged, troopers report.

A Wescosville man had a more interesting ride the morning of Sept. 24 than he anticipated as he drove Route 22 in Whitehall Township and beyond. Andre Boyle, 24, was driving in the passing lane of the Thruway around 9 a.m.  when he was passed on the right by an Easton man, police said. That other driver, Robert Napoli, 65, next intentionally swerved his Toyota truck and struck Boyle's Chevrolet near Route 145 in Whitehall. The two drivers continued west on Route 22 while Boyle called Pennsylvania State Police. The two drivers stopped in the area of southbound Interstate 78 and Route 100, police said, although they were not specific as to whether police played any role in that. One might guess. Police: Boy Grabbed by Throat at Quarry Park

An Easton man was charged with harrassment, police said.

State Police at Fogelsville recently released reports of several Lower Macungie incidents: Charged: Jason Chicowicz, 31, of Easton with harassment at 2 p.m. June 2 in Quarry Park at 7500 Quarry Road; Chicowicz approached a 14-year-old who was playing lacrosse on a sports field and grabbed him by the throat and used profane language, police said. Charged: Gabriel Fernando Mesa, 48, of an unspecified address, at 3 a.m. June 2 with simple assault; unspecified victim suffered multiple unspecified injuries, according to police; Mesa was charged with simple assault and harassment and arrested. The following incidents recently were reported by state police at Fogelsville: Theft from motor vehicle: three incidents reported overnight April 5 at 2037 Rolling Meadow Drive, 6122 Timberknoll Drive and 2184 Greenmeadow Drive;  items taken included a laptop computer, nursing books, shoes, clothing and change, police said; no value given. Assault and Harassment Incidents Reported at Lower Mac Middle School

The Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville recently reported these Lower Macungie incidents: Charged: Two 16- and 17-year-old girls from Breinigsville with retail theft from Kohl's, 6900 Hamilton Blvd.; Jan. 24 with taking $81 and $43 in merchandise without paying, police said. Harassment: Reported Jan. 22 by an unidentified 44-year-old man from Macungie; a man unknown to him pushed the victim at the Giant supermarket, 7150 Hamilton Blvd. following a verbal argument, police said; no report of injury. State police at Fogelsville recently released the following incidents in Lower Macungie Township: Harassment: Investigated by police Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at 1674 Pinewind Drive; three boys between the ages of 8 and 9 and with Alburtis-area addresses were accused of throwing rocks at a 9-year-old boy with an Alburtis-area address, police said; two rocks struck the victim in the back; no injuries specified. Burglary: Reported Sept. 10 at two 5573 Hamilton Blvd. businesses; Divine Redesign and Care Net of the Lehigh Valley were broken into and several items taken, police said; no value given.
