Police: Son Throws Knife that Sticks in Dad's Arm

20-year-old is charged with aggravated assault for altercation that occurred in Lower Macungie Township home.

A 20-year-old Lower Macungie Township man recently threw a knife that stuck in the forearm of his father during an altercation in their home, according to police. Michael C. Kovalick was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the 4 p.m. Aug. 28 incident that happened at 2064 Pembrooke Drive, according to state police at Fogelsville. The victim was his father, Michael R. Kovalick. A police report did not detail the events, but The Morning Call, citing court records, reported that police were called for an assault. When they arrived, the elder Kovalick told them that his son was in their kitchen with a 6-inch knife and threatening suicide. State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents

State police at Fogelsville recently released the following incidents pertaining to Lower Macungie Township: Charged: Steven Dean Bermudez, 20, of 2898 Sequoia Drive at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 30 with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct; Bermudez and John Rivera, 38, also of 2898 Sequoia Drive argued which led to Bermudez showing a knife and threatening to stabe Rivera, police said. Access device fraud: Reported Aug. 8 by Heather Traub of the 7400 block of SweetwoodDrive; unknown person used her credit card information to make several unauthorized purchases, police said; no value given.
