Hi Chris, thanks for the comments on my blog post.

The reason I attended the meeting the other day initially was to voice my opinion on possible streetscape enhancements for Main St. I wasn't able to stay until the 2nd public comments portion.

I attended revitalization meetings occasionally awhile back. I am a huge supporter of bump outs and islands on main. I think these are effective traffic calming measures and essential for such a broad thoroughfare to be pedestrian friendly.

These are exactly the sort of items I look for as a business owner attempting to purchase our "forever studio". (we currently rent). It is my understanding these improvements are currently on-hold? And that without the traffic calming measures the project would not receive a grant.

I would love to get more information on the status of this project. I'm also planning on coming to the next council meeting if possible as well to voice my opinion.
