ReplyThis is encouraging however we have lost officers because of this kind of wishy washy council nonsense. Why would you vote for the money in the budget with no intention of voting for the additional officer?? I am hopeful we won't see the retracti of this officers job at the next meeting!!! Council members please follow the new councilresidemts lead!

Yes Ron I read the budget.... I still stand by my comment......they new hires did not make near 50,000. I have no idea where this figure came from but it isn't accurate!

That figure is off by quite a bit ( and I did check this out) the starting salary was in the the low 40's and there was only 1 full time and 1 30hr position. The 30hr officer left before the budget took effect and the FT officer was cut by the budget and offered PT. I hear he took another FT position in another city ( can't blame him). If the 2 salaries were averaged, I have no knowledge of that but didn't want the public believing these officers were being paid more than they actually were.

Think you need to check your facts......I can tell you that isn't true. IF you find evidence that supports your claim go tell some of the officers cause they aren't getting that money.

Replyand if it was real and someone got shot you would all be singing a different tune.......it wasn't a smart idea.....let him sit a jail for a few days and come up with a better plan. He also needs to apologize to those bank tellers for scaring them.........maybe sentenced to some real community service!

ReplyIn any other town this would be shocking....not in Macungie, this is business as usual. The clock is ticking but the damage that is being done will have long lasting effects. The business manager didn't have an idea if this insurance dividend? Seriously? Good job Macungie you are living up to our expectations!!! We have to be on Candid Camera....this has to be a joke!!

ReplyI just got done singing the Halelujah chorus. Why wait quit now!! Sadly the borough did sign you up but since you are unhappy with the your job please quit!! You can sink back into your life and stop embarrassing yourself and the borough. We have problems that need to be addressed and you have no interest in anything but destroying the police dept and leaving us broke......go already!!!!!
