Beitler, Higgins, Conrad Winners in Township Commissioners Race

Lower Macungie voters pick two newcomers, incumbent, according to unofficial results from Tuesday's general election.

Two newcomers and one incumbent were the top vote-getters in Tuesday’s race for Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners, according to unofficial vote tallies reported by WFMZ.com.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting results, challengers Ron Beitler (D/R), and Brian Higgins (D/R), along with incumbent Ryan Conrad (R) have been elected to the three open commissioner seats, WFMZ reports.  

Democratic challenger John Yurasits received the fewest votes (1,973) of the four candidates running for the three seats, while Beitler received the greatest number of votes (4087), according to the WFMZ website.

Lower Macungie Township commissioners serve four-year terms.
