Proud Grandma Tells Story of Torn Dollar Bill

Patch reader Agnes Toolan sent an email last night sharing what she termed a "human interest" story about her four-year-old grandson and a special trip to the bank. Here's what she had to say:

"My four-year-old grandson was visiting us in our home in Lower Macungie. He found a dollar bill in his shorts' pocket. It must have been washed many times. It was not in good condition and was ripped in half. He worried he couldn't spend it. We took him to Wachovia Bank and told him to explain his problem to the teller. He was delighted when she exchanged his damaged bill for a new one. We immediately took him to the dollar store where he bought a birthday gift for his Mom."
